Saw ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ yesterday. And though the movie had received average reviews I was still determined to love it for Ranbir’s sake! Three hours later, the first thing that crossed my mind was, “did all those people who’d reviewed this movie; watch it with their eyes closed?”
Because you see, the movie simply rocked!!
After coming home I flicked through the newspaper and understood the reason behind the low ratings. I guess it must have hurt the ego of all those MCP’s (male chauvinistic pigs) out there to see the hero begging for forgiveness from his two ex-girlfriends’. Sorry guys, but once in a blue moon comes a guy who actually apologises for acting like a jerk. It’s probably the first time a bollywood hero gets rejected by the main heroine and the repercussions don’t involve suicide from atop a water tank
Loved Ranbir in the movie (siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiighhh), Minissha is cute and her is story endearing, Bipasha (small town girl??….naaaaaaaah…we like wearing clothes) is good in her Naomi Campbell avatar, and Deepika has mercifully not repeated OSO histrionics.
My rating: 4 on 5
PS: if Aki Narula is reading this I WANT the clothes Ranbir has worn in this movie…especially that white jacket n those three-quarters and those CHAPPALS… I want I want I want..!!!!
PPS: me singing this low-grade song of the season…what about you??
